Class quilt auction!

It’s a bit late to be posting, but here we go:

Tonight was the Wee Girl’s school fundraiser. Silent auction, live auctions, excellent food, etc!!!

I wore this cute little dress I bought for a Christmas tea in 2014. I was surprised tonight to see many similar dresses- nude under layer, black top layer. I’m not on top of fashion, so I never know…

The purse is a really vintage one- it was from either my grandmother or great grandmother, I’m not sure which (I have to check with my sister, who gave it to me)! As it’s a neutral color, it matches many outfits, but because it’s so small, I can only take my keys, phone, a debit card, maybe a lipstick, and my driver’s license.  So, if I’m feeling very minimalist, it’s usable and I’m so happy when I can use it!

And…. The class quilt auction!!! Here’s our hard work up on stage. I’m happy to say that the quilt bidding was active and lively, and went for a pretty penny. All our hard work paid off. And the event was really fun! And I’m very tired, so good night!

Yesterday was my husband’s birthday, so the kids and I made him a healthy cake!

It’s vegan, no added fat, and it’s very tasty!

In crafty news, I’ve been working a lot on the Wee Girl’s class quilt.

Tonight I sewed the blocks into strips, along with some sashing. It’s coming along well.

Our sock knitting group is starting its next KAL, a linen stitch scarf. It’s meant to use lots of colors, so I gathered my sock yarn scraps to start planning…  The pattern is called Mini Mania. http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/mini-mania-scarf

I think grays with purples might be nice. What do you think?
