Lately I haven’t posted that much about crafty pursuits, because of all the fun vacation things we’ve been doing, so here’s a wee update:
My Wonderland Dyeworks socks are coming along fine. They’re just plain vanilla socks, and they can’t quite decide whether to stripe or pool.
Also, I did some excavating/organizing in my parents’ garage today, separating things of my grandma’s to keep and things to sell or donate, since she recently moved from her apartment into a nursing home. I knew she has knitted quite a few baby hats for charity, and indeed, I found some good crafty stuff- knitting needles and crochet hooks, a knit washcloth, crochet thread, a crocheted doily and tablecloth, and a handwritten pattern for slippers!
I don’t think I can bear to let the beautiful FOs leave the family, so I’ll check around to see if anyone else is interested in them.
And I’m vacation news, the kids took their first jetski rides today, with one of my childhood best friends ! They loved it!!
That is great crochet by your grams. What a thrill the kids had on that jetski. I’ve never ridden on one before. Your vanilla socks look good.
Thx! I turned the heels tonight. 🙂 they had a blast on the jet ski! I haven’t ridden one myself yet!
